The 2023 TCF Summit focused on trauma and survivorship, with a keynote from physician, cancer survivor and author Dr. Dan Shapiro.
The 2023 TCF Summit ran September 29 to October 1 at the Four Seasons Las Vegas, opening with a welcome drink in the Four Seasons lobby and an informal gathering at House of Blues in Mandalay Bay.
Saturday centered on trauma and survivorship. Palmer McCluskey led a session on coping with trauma and Dr. Zachary Klaassen spoke on survivorship and wellness from a urologic oncology provider's perspective. Survivors Mason Moore and Brett Samson shared their stories, a mental health roundtable followed the breakouts, and Dr. Dan Shapiro gave the keynote. The evening closed with dinner and table-side magic from Seth Grabel.
On Sunday, Doug Carey and Lexee Quaill spoke on the survivor and caregiver dynamic, and Steve Gavers and Dan Wheeler spoke on getting involved and making a difference.
