The 2019 TCF Summit in Austin featured Dear World founder Robert Fogarty, sessions on advocacy and TC education through the media, and an evening at Firmspace.
The 2019 TCF Summit was held at the Hilton Austin, opening with a Friday welcome reception at Cannon + Belle.
Saturday opened with remarks and survivor and caregiver stories, then a Dear World presentation from Robert Fogarty, Becky Morales on life after cancer, Dr. Michael Herman of Texas Oncology on advocating for your own health, a survivor story from Mark Borja, Kyle Smith on TC education through the media and Brad Love on the AYA cancer movement. The evening moved to Firmspace for Dear World photos and stories, Texas BBQ, a live band and comedy.
Sunday featured Debbie Dennis on a caregiver's perspective, Justin Birckbichler of A Ballsy Sense of Tumor and Dave Fuehrer, followed by the awards.
Survivors, caregivers and clinicians meet again at the Four Seasons Las Vegas. Travel scholarships are available.
