TCF Summit 2017

The first TCF Summit brought more than 30 survivors and caregivers to Austin and set the format that continues today: survivor stories, breakouts and medical education.

About the weekend

The inaugural TCF Summit was held at the Hilton Austin with more than 30 attendees. It opened with a Friday welcome reception at Cannon + Belle.

Saturday set the format that every Summit since has followed: opening remarks from Kenny Kane and Connor O'Leary, a welcome from founder Matt Ferstler, Brad Love on the young adult cancer movement, separate caregiver and survivor breakouts, and a father and son story from Mark Hamblin and James Hamblin. Mark Henry, US Olympian and professional wrestler, spoke on grit. The day closed with a mixer at Cedar Door.

Sunday featured Dave Fuehrer on You 2.0, Dr. Craig Nichols, and Cory Jackson and Jenna Jackson on staying engaged in the TCF community.
