About Leigh Ann
Leigh Ann Caulkins, MSW, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of experience in medical social work. She currently serves as the Survivorship Program Coordinator for Inova Peterson Life with Cancer, where she also provides evidence-based treatment to adult patients and caregivers impacted by a cancer diagnosis.
Leigh Ann has extensive experience working with post-treatment cancer survivors in the contexts of sexual health, grief and loss, and medical traumatization. Her specialist knowledge spans palliative care, chronic illness, meaning-making, mindfulness and integrative practices, and adolescent and young adult (AYA) populations.
As a member of faculty for Inova's Hematology Oncology Psychosocial Fellows Program, Leigh Ann has helped educate and train the next generation of oncologists to better respond to patient psychosocial needs and concerns. She has presented across the country for national and international organizations focused on advancing oncology research, advocacy, and patient well-being.
