Why People Support TCF
From survivors to caregivers to community members — here's what people say about the Testicular Cancer Foundation.
The TCF website was a tremendous resource for our family. We live in a rural area and found both answers about TC and real hope in what we read. We give to keep that resource available for other families when a loved one is diagnosed.
Having had testicular cancer myself, I decided to give back. TCF means support — real support — for people going through what I went through. I donate because I know how much that support matters when you need it most.
What brought me here was the people and the mission. TCF means community — helping those who can't help themselves and making the unaware, aware. I share TCF with my network because that awareness is everything.
I was diagnosed with testicular cancer and soon after found out it had spread to distant lymph nodes. I started posting on Reddit looking for support and answers — someone from TCF reached out and invited me to their Discord and weekly Zoom call. For me, TCF represents hope in the world. I'm amazed that a group of people can be so selfless, willing to help anyone they meet for no other reason than they truly care. They're helping people like me navigate one of the most difficult times in our lives.
TCF gave me a community of support I can reach out to whenever I need it. It showed me there are other guys going through the same struggles I am — and that we can count on each other for support and encouragement. TCF lets patients and caregivers focus on treatment and getting better, knowing they have resources to rely on during and after cancer.
It gave me a place to feel heard when I felt most alone. TCF gives community to those who are lost, hurt, and in need of support — from people who've gone through exactly what they have and truly understand what you're going through.
TCF is hands down, the best organization out there for guys that have or had testicular cancer. The brotherhood we all share, the resources available, our weekly zoom calls — the annual summits are life changing. When I joined, I was welcomed with open arms. Connor, Matt, and everyone involved are the nicest and most giving people you'll ever meet.
The TCF was an amazing resource when I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. They provided so much information — questions to ask the doctors, what to expect after procedures, and most of all comfort that everything would be ok. They put survivors first and do an amazing job raising awareness about the disease.
TCF is all about the personal touch — they return calls and emails almost immediately, jump on ideas, and visit with newly diagnosed guys as soon as they can. Everything I've done with this organization provides awareness and life-saving information. I'm happy and proud to be a TCF volunteer.
I began to volunteer after my youngest son was diagnosed with TC — and I'm also a TC survivor 30+ years out. No man should ever die of this disease because of how effective treatment is when detected early. TCF is saving lives, tirelessly educating the public and advocating for patients and their families.
I was 1 year out of treatment when TCF found me at a cancer awareness event. Prior to that meeting, I couldn't find much information about the disease. The foundation immediately gave me ideas to help others in my area, encouraged me to start speaking publicly, and has been supportive of everything I've done in my local community since.
Cancer is an incredibly scary diagnosis, and even friends and family with the best intentions can struggle to understand your journey. The TCF group has over 200 people that talk to each other, become friends, and check on each other's recovery. I was lucky enough to find them at the start of my medical journey, and I'll forever be grateful I did.
Incredible staff. But beyond that it's an incredible organization full of survivors and current patients supporting one another. The yearly summits and other events are well organized and incredibly moving. I will support TCF until I can't.
This organization was critical for me during a really challenging period. I highly recommend reaching out if you've been touched by testicular cancer and want their support — or if you want to support them, it's a great cause.
Amazing organization doing great work to support cancer patients and their families.
This company has spent years cultivating an environment where men experiencing a testicular cancer diagnosis feel supported, informed, and welcomed. They personally got me through one of the scariest chapters of my life, and I came out on the other side more well-equipped to deal with life after a chronic illness diagnosis. From the weekly calls, to the annual meetups in tourist destinations like Las Vegas, there is ample opportunity to meet individuals with the same diagnosis and bond rather than commiserate, building life-long friendships and a support system that will help you navigate whatever this illness has to throw at you. They prioritize equitability: making sure everyone that wants to attend can, whether you're in a position to do so currently or not, the people here always work diligently to accommodate each other. As someone not affiliated with the organization, but deeply appreciative of it, I hope that one day every person diagnosed with testicular cancer will become aware that this organization exists and these people are here to help in whatever way they can.
Great organization doing important work to raise awareness and support those affected by testicular cancer. Highly recommend supporting their mission!
TCF is the best.
The TCF helped us (my husband and me) when my husband was diagnosed with cancer.
Testicular Cancer Foundation has been an incredible resource for patients, caregivers, and providers of Testicular Cancer. I got to know the team in December 2017. Since then, TCF has been encouraging and supportive, and provides great ways to share the TCF mission across the country. I am honored to volunteer and be a lifelong supporter with TCF and spread the word about this so that all families have resources during their testicular cancer journey.
I've been attending TCF events and donating to them for 7 years, a year after I was diagnosed with TC. This organization holds a national level summit for survivors, thrivers, fighters, and caregivers annually along with several smaller regional meet ups. They strive to make sure young men and their families get the care and support they need and that no one fights alone. The affect TCF has had on my family has been tremendous, and I am so thankful that my wife suggested attending their summit in 2019.
Their Discord server is the best place for people going through it, the community is very active and full of really helpful and kind people. Helped me pull through and keep calm, and that has no price, I'm forever grateful.
TCF is life changing for survivors, caregivers and men that are going through a potential diagnosis. The flagship Summit I have attended twice and it's hands down the best event I have attended across my lifetime. It's not only educational but emotional, fun and eye opening. Beyond the summit other meet ups are crucial for getting guys thru this dreadful disease. TCF also offers an incredible community on Discord and weekly zoom calls where we support each other. I have been active in those avenues and find value to figuring out how to navigate not only my journey but provide support for guys going through theirs. I will continue to support the organization for as long as I live.
