Why We Exist

Our Mission & Promise

Testicular cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among males ages 15–35 — and one of the most curable when caught early. Our work exists to make sure no young man faces it without the knowledge or support he needs.

Our Mission

Testicular Cancer Foundation educates young men to raise awareness about testicular cancer, the most commonly diagnosed cancer among males ages 15 – 35. TCF supports families of testicular cancer patients and shares its resources with the medical and healthcare communities, schools, and various young men’s groups.

Our Promise

Accurate. Relatable. Always Here.

We are committed to providing accurate, factual, and encouraging information to raise awareness about testicular cancer — and to provide compassionate, relatable support to those on the road to survival. We empower individuals to make informed decisions about their health, from understanding warning signs to exploring treatment options.

Our Story

A History Rooted in Lived Experience

From a grassroots awareness campaign to the only full-time staffed testicular cancer nonprofit in the country — TCF's history is built on survivor leadership and an unwavering commitment to early detection.

The Testicular Cancer Foundation was founded in early 2009, beginning as Single Jingles — a grassroots awareness initiative created to spark conversations about testicular cancer, reduce stigma, and promote early detection. Shortly after launch, Single Jingles formally transitioned into the Testicular Cancer Foundation, establishing a nonprofit dedicated to education, awareness, and support for those affected by the disease.

The organization was founded by Matt Ferstler, a testicular cancer survivor whose personal experience exposed a significant lack of awareness and accessible information for young men facing the most commonly diagnosed cancer among males ages 15–35. From the outset, the Foundation's work was shaped by survivor-led education, direct messaging, and the belief that early detection saves lives.

In 2015, Connor O'Leary joined as Chief Mission Officer, contributing to the growth of programs, outreach, and national presence as the Foundation's reach and responsibility expanded.

In 2016, Kenny Kane (co-founder and former COO of Stupid Cancer) succeeded Matt as CEO, bringing operational leadership and a deeply personal connection to the mission as a caregiver to his father, a testicular cancer survivor. His perspective helped strengthen the Foundation's infrastructure, storytelling, and long-term sustainability.

Today, TCF is the only full-time staffed testicular cancer nonprofit in the United States and a leading provider of educational resources nationwide. Our team of survivors, caregivers, and advocates works every day to ensure every male knows the warning signs, understands how to perform a self-exam, and feels supported throughout their journey.
