Thank You, Cane River Pecan, for Going Nuts for a Cause

Some partners get it on every level, and Cane River Pecan Company is exactly that. Year after year, this family-run Louisiana business turns its harvest into hope, and we could not be more grateful.

At the helm is Jady Regard, who proudly carries the title of Chief Nut Officer. It takes a special kind of good humor to rally a company built around nuts behind one of the most important and most overlooked health conversations for young men. The pun is perfect. The purpose behind it is serious.

Through their annual “Buy a Nut, Save a Nut” fundraiser, the Cane River team pairs their pecan season with a campaign for the Testicular Cancer Foundation, turning everyday orders into real support for our mission.

The Campaign

Four words that do a whole lot of good.

Buy a Nut, Save a Nut. — Cane River Pecan Company

A pecan company using its name and its platform to get young men talking about their health. That is exactly the kind of partner we are lucky to have.

Why this matters to us

A fundraiser like this does more than raise dollars. It moves the conversation forward in three ways that go straight to the heart of what we do.

  • 01

    Awareness With a Wink

It gets guys to pay attention

Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in males ages 15 to 35, yet far too many young men do not know the warning signs. A little humor lowers the guard and starts a conversation that can save a life.

  • 02

    Early Detection Saves Lives

    Caught early, it is beatable

When testicular cancer is found at stage 1, it is up to 99% beatable. The challenge is getting men to check, and a self-exam takes under a minute. Campaigns like this put that message in front of the people who need it most.

  • 03

    No One Faces It Alone

    Funds become real support

Every dollar raised helps TCF stand beside patients, survivors, and caregivers, from newly-diagnosed guidance to our survivor network and weekly support call. Generosity like Cane River's is what keeps that door open.

To Jady and the whole Cane River family

Thank you. Your generosity, your humor, and your heart help us reach more people every year. You have proven that a little bit of fun and a great bag of pecans can do a whole lot of good.

Want to join the cause? Pick up some pecans, share the story, and take 60 seconds for the thing that started it all: learn the self-exam, see what to do if you found a lump, or ask the TC Navigator the questions you would rather not say out loud.

Check yourself. Then check on your crew.

A self-exam takes under a minute. Learn how, share it with the guys in your life, and reach us anytime you have a question.

Learn the Self-Exam → Questions? Chat with the TC Navigator or call 1-855-390-8231.
